Michał Stefanowskihas an active design practice. As professional, he is a member of INNO+NPD design team. He has created designs for products, street furniture, packaging, wayfinding systems and visual communication (among others: co-author of the City Information System for Warsaw, Information System for Royal Castle in Warsaw, visual identity of the National Bank of Poland). He is the international relations representative of SPFP / the Association of Industrial Designers in Poland (2001-2010 President; 2010-2019 Vice-President) and acted as BEDA / Bureau of European Design Associations, Board Member (2010-2016). He is a professor and Head of Design Department at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.
His other areas of activities are: writing articles, curating design exhibitions and judging design competitions (among others: Good Design (Poland), National Design Award (Slovakia), BIO (Slovenia), Design Management Europe Award (Estonia), IF Award (Germany).
