The theme of the 8th International Natural Stone Design Competition this year has been determined as “NOVEL”.
Designers participating in the “Innovative Natural Stone Design Competition” are required to submit projects that involve “DECORATIVE HOME ACCESSORIES” produced from existing natural stone or natural stone remnants. “Single/Standalone Furniture Pieces” will also be evaluated within this scope. Participants are expected to propose any type of high value-added home/office accessory or furniture project made from natural stone and its remnants. Products designed for wet areas (such as bathtubs, sinks, etc.) will also be evaluated within this scope.
The projects are expected to be furniture designs with a contemporary and modern identity that will contribute to global natural stone export.
With this competition, it is aimed to develop high added value, environmental friendly and sustainable furniture projects in the natural stone sector, to contribute to the development and competitiveness of the sector and to contribute to the country's economy. The designs to be made must be product-focused only.
