Can Özcan teaches projects, method-system techniques, material-production technologies and advanced product development, design management, design evolution at graduate level at local and foreign universities. Having professional work in many fields from product design to graphic design, Dr. Özcan has carried out design projects, most of which are based on university-industry cooperation, with many sectors ranging from food packaging to air conditioning systems and furniture.
He is still the Head of Industrial Design Department at Izmir University of Economics, Faculty of Fine Arts, and Design and Director of the Design Research and Application Center (EKOTAM). Dr. Özcan has many scientific researches, presentations and design awards published in Turkey and abroad.
